Large part of our daily lives are like that . Many of us go through most of our lives like this. I'm telling you it's normal and it's up to us on how we handle every situation. We can live life the way we want. We can make it so touching, so serious -but it can also be so funny , exciting and full of joy ! Hipster Romance in Church

It was my dream to blog about my wedding and I can't wait to start sharing the photos with u guys. After 5 years being united with Mark through a civil right , we finally had our church wedding on October 15 , 2011. Allow me to say , It was a unique , one of a kind wedding that only suppah cool,creative and hipster couple could have come up with considering the bugdet we've set for our big day. Hambogera ! Sige nalang gud. I really put a lot of effort and love into the preparation. Thanks to my groom for a very active participation. There were lapses as expected but our wedding still came out just the way we wanted it to be.

The concept was actually inspired by Angel and Rin's Hipster wedding. I Supper liked every details and cute elements of their wedding. It was a bit of rock, a bit of whimsy and I guess a whole lot of good ol’ hipster romance. I was so in love with their concept and style. Despite the adoration I felt for their wedding, in my heart was ... i still want our wedding to be totally different from theirs yet another cool wedding , something very DASHI and MARK.

The Theme : Though chuck taylor themed wedding is already known abroad , its still uncommon here in Pinas. Mark and I are used to wearing chucks on regular days so we decided to have a chuck taylor inspired wedding. The groom, the bride and the entourage wear chucks and we encouraged the guest to also look pretty cool with their chucks.No barongs and formal shoes even for the principal sponsors but of course there were really a few whom we couldnt force to oblige.



Motiff : We were into chocolate brown or black years away from our wedding yet it came a time that we thought of brown as boring one. Black was next in line, t'was our favorite color but to avoid being lectured by our elders we chose Pink and gray. perfectly nice color combination , trendy !

Date : Setting the date is the most important step in planning your wedding. Dates hold a very special meaning because they will forever symbolize a special moment for you and your partner. It's something you’ll remember for the rest of your life. We chose October 15 , 2011 since we were both born on this month , I on the 13th and Mark on the 17th ... and that was it, date is set!

Church: To save the date, we then booked @ The Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish and the time was set to 3:30 PM.




Venue: This was the hardest of all ! The things to take into account when choosing a wedding reception are the factors such as cost, venue capacity, entertainment facilities, parking lot for your guest and the ease of transport from churh. Fort San Pedro was our first choice yet aside from taking in consideration the cost , we cant take the risk of getting wet and wild on our wedding due to heavy rain. Our date falls on a 'ber month , a rainy season as anticipated. Three months before our wedding, a friend suggested an indoor reception offered by CAP Complex located in Jones , Cebu City. It's quiet expensive but we had no choice.
